On Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of June, our Year 7s went to the Western Treatment Plant to see the importance of managing water effectively through a tour of sewerage treatment.
Students learned that 555 million litres of water end up at the plant every day, and 99% of raw sewerage is liquids. They also were lucky enough to undertake a high-tech simulation with Melbourne Water staff of how governments make long term decisions over water management.
We also went to the You Yangs to examine aspects of Wathaurong traditional culture and Country.
